The wait to know if you are a match for a dog can be stressful. Please know that we do our best to find the right fit for our dogs. If you are not chosen to adopt it is not a reflection of you or your application - it’s because there is a better match for that particular dog and that your future dog is still out there - waiting for you to find him or her!

If you are not chosen to adopt the dog you apply for your application stays active for 6 months - so if another dog you fancy comes through you can email us to say your app is on file and you’re interested in a particular dog. If you follow us on Facebook you will be notified when a new dog comes into our program - as they are posted there prior to any other platform.

Red Leash Rescue will do everything we can afford to do to make sure each dog is medically tested and treated at time of adoption. There may be circumstances in which we are unable to afford an optional procedure or we may know about a need but for medical reasons have to wait for specific clearance. We will always provide all information we have at time of adoption along with potential testing or procedures we are anticipating. Upon adoption you agree to continue meeting your dogs medical needs and costs.

Many dogs enter our program because an owner has passed away or was placed in long-term care. Do you have provisions for your pets if something should happen to yo? If so what are they? If not are you willing to do so?

Verification of submission

By submitting this application I certify that the information within it is true and complete. Any dog that I adopt will reside in my home as my pet. I agree to provide any dog adopted with quality food, freshwater, safe shelter, adequate affection, physical examinations and vaccinations under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

Tax deductible donation

I understand that there is a donation required of $400 due to a Red Leash Rescue at time of adoption.

In the event of an unsuccessful adoption

I understand that if I decide to return the dog that I adopted after I have signed the Adoption Contract, that I will be refunded 50% of the adoption donation upon the return of the dog.
